It means something like, we're constantly expecting something to happen, you know, as if everything we do is somehow going to lead to some time that everything's totally perfect. But it ain't, because the future does not exist, only now exists. So live in the present.

1) That if you're expecting EVERYTHING, you're not going to get it, mate.

2) That you can't live up to all of the world's expectation of YOU, so it's a bit pointless trying.
