In addition to the eight gods, we have discovered several other mysterious cosmic beings. Many of these are what D.M. Turner would have called 'entities'. Some may be servants of the gods or children of the gods, some may be cosmic place-holders for future gods, some may be meaningless fillers that are required to fill in the gaps in the universe (like the word 'it' in the sentence 'it is raining' - meaning nothing but necessary for a vaild sentence).
