Feeling-tone
From The Maze Where Realities Converge - the psychedelic encyclopedia of reality from The Ultimate Comment
Feeling-tone is a term put forward by psychologist Henry Head. It refers to that element of consciousness which is not thought, not memory, not knowledge, not perception. Its meaning is close to that of the word 'emotion', but more universal. Feeling-tone is the result of affective, evocative sensations. Feeling-tones are those shadows of emotion brought about by, say, staring at a bright colour or smelling a smell. An article about feeling-tones may be foudn in the first edition of our 'zine
