Ether

This can either refer to Aether, being the metaphysical 'energy' type,

or the chemical Diethyl-ether.

Diethyl-ether is a solvent which evaporates at room temperature. It was used as an anaesthetic since the 19th century, but rarely today.

Recreationally, ether is usually poured onto a rag and inhaled. The effects are instantaneous, short-lasting and similar to being extremely drunk.

Ether isn't very hard to make in laboratory conditions, many Ultimate Comment-heads can remember friends making some in the back of chemistry classes.
